ANA Special Effects company was originally started by Dick Albain Sr., a veteran special effects technician who specialized in this field for more than 25 years, working with major studios including Columbia Pictures. Now the company has become a family affair. Albain's wife Dolores, children Richard, Edward, and Gladys, son-in-law Ron, daughter-in-law Judy, and grandchildren make up the ANA Special Effects Company.
"Our company was established in 1970. We are a family oriented business, dedicated and committed to creating and providing the finest special effects for the motion picture, television, and commercial industries," Albain Sr. said. "From the large feature, to the low budget commercial, we never forget that our service, quality and safety have set the standards that will continue to keep us at the top," he added.
ANA carries a complete line of motion picture special effects equipment rentals, expendables, breakaway glass, and personnel. Their specialty is mechanical effects, which include rain, wind, snow, fog, and explosions. They provide the equipment and people that are needed to carry out almost any special effect for just about any size show.
Another facet of the business is the manufacturing of breakaway glass and bottles. These bottles are used on sets for film and commercial production. ANA has a full manufacturing facility. They manufacture a full line of breakaway glass and bottles that are distributed to prop houses all around the world.
